Prior this week, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi teased the launch of a 48MP camera smartphone in India. Today, Xiaomi has declared that this smartphone is known as the Redmi Note 7S and it will be revealed on May 20.
Redmi additionally shared a picture of the Earth which has a watermark affirming that the Note 7S will accompany a double camera setup. Xiaomi hasn’t uncovered some other subtleties of this up and coming smartphone. however, it’s significant that the image of Earth it has shared today is like the ones caught by the Chinese Redmi Note 7 which was sent to space recently.
Redmi Note 7S: Design, Features & Price
As of now, Xiaomi hasn’t revealed much about the device. Redmi Note 7S will going to be very similar to the current Redmi Note 7.
Coming to display, the company will be using the same dot notch full HD+ display for Redmi Note 7S.
Xiaomi is yet to confirm the processor, but it may run on the same chipset as Redmi Note 7, the Snapdragon 660 chip. The announcement confirmed that the Redmi Note 7S will come with the 48MP camera.
Xiaomi is yet to name the sensor. So it could be either the Samsung GM1 48MP sensor, previously used in the Redmi Note 7 Chinese variant or the Sony IMX 586 48MP sensor used in Redmi Note 7 Pro. The announcement tweet is coupled with a photo that comes with “RedmiNote7S 48MP Dual camera” watermark. This means that the Redmi Note 7S will come paired with two cameras on the back panel.
Not much is known about the Redmi Note 7S but we expect the phone to come with the same Redmi Note 7 series design — gradient finish, dot drop notch, glass body and more.
Coming to the Redmi Note 7S India price, the smartphone may cost another thousand bucks more than Redmi Note 7. The cost may begin at Rs 10,999 for the base model.
